Volunteer

Find out how you can help and we’ll grow together!

Wild Ones South Bend is looking for enthusiastic individuals who are willing to share their time and talent in order to make a lasting impact in our community.

Our chapter is eager to promote rich, native landscapes and the wild creatures that depend on them, including how to welcome them into our yards and public spaces.  In order to do this, we strive to offer as many opportunities as possible to group members and the public… but wouldn’t you like to help us do more?

If you think you share our passion or simply can help,  we have numerous volunteer opportunities that vary in time, commitment, and skill level.  These include:

  • Planting
  • Maintaining a garden/prairie
  • Tabling at events
  • Leading a Wild Ones project – i.e., managing a garden, designing/planting a new garden, etc.
  • Speaking/presenting on a topic
  • Board director
  • Committee – chair
  • Committee – member
  • Other: make a suggestion!

Do any of these activities interest you?  We’d love to hear from you even if you feel hesitant.  After all, since the first time we heard about native plants, we’ve been learning as we go, and now we are learning how to be the best organization we can be.  Our group is made up of unique individuals and every one of them brings something different and valuable to our whole.  We hope you’ll join us!
